Two Types of Molding: Perimeter and Transition

Perimeter moldings are used to cover the area AROUND a room where your new flooring meets the wall. They are essential for hiding any gaps and protecting the edge of your new flooring. Transition moldings, on the other hand, are used to transition BETWEEN two different types of flooring, such as from hardwood to tile or from carpet to vinyl. They come in a variety of styles including reducers, t-molding, thresholds, and multi-trim. Baseboards

Cover the joint between the wall and the floor, protecting both the wall and the flooring from damage

Quarter Round & Shoe Molding

Covers the expansion gap between the flooring and the wall, while adding a decorative touch, Shoe Molding provides a more decorative option then Quarter Round

Reducers

Used to transition from one flooring type to another, such as from hardwood to tile

T-Moldings

Used to transition from one flooring type to another of the same height, such as from hardwood to vinyl

Crown Moldings

Adds an elegant touch to your walls by covering the joint between the ceiling and the wall

Stair Noses

Sometimes called a bull nose, finishes the end of a step by making the corner smooth
